I began my career in the Army as a pilot, but was forced to retire after leaving Viet Nam and spending two year in the hospital. I realized that getting a better education might lead to something interesting. I went back to school and have never left, so to speak. I have spent over 30 years in various positions in education. I have worked at the kindergarten through graduate level; I spent 24 of those years at Louisiana State University where I was a professor and researcher. I spent a few years as Dean of Education at a small college. I spent a few other years teaching on the Wind River reservation in Ethete, Wyoming, and now I’m here. I have also had various other part-time occupations throughout this career, such as hypnotherapist, licensed holistic health consultant, newspaper columnist, talk show host and many others. I’m married to Kathleen Rollason, we have four children and four grand children, all of whom I love very much.
