Acadiana or "Cajun Country" is in Southwest Louisiana. It is home to the Acadian or Cajun people who came to Louisiana from eastern Canada in the 1700's and traditionally spoke French. They have a unique culture and a vibrant musical tradition.

Love Bridge Waltz is sung in French. The singer laments how a young woman that he loved rejected him. Now he is miserable and heartsick.
