LEAD

ARRANGEMENT

  1. Import your chord progressions Pad track from you Trance Project into your Dubstep project. You may change to a new Pad sound if you like.

  2. Create 2 lead clips with each sound (4 clips total) to match one or more chord progressions. Compose in C minor.

  3. This will serve as a bright and melodic section of your track to contrast with the dark, wobble bass drops.

Arrangement Template

Fill in your arrangement template with your own original material:

  • fill in the “melodic sections” and
    “drops” first

  • only use the wobble bass on the drops

  • only use the lead on “melodic sections”

Pitch Riser

  • Watch "Pitched Risers" in the Shared Folder

  • Create a 2, 4, 8 or 16 bar pitch riser

  • Automate your pitch rise using "Pitch Bend" inside a MIDI clip

  • Use the note "C"
