🎓 We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Miguel Cisneros, our very own ATC alum, who has been awarded the Jim Hudak & Sally Silvia Scholarship from Kids’ Chance of America! Through this four-year, $10,000/year scholarship, Miguel is now embarking on his journey at the University of Arizona, where he plans to study Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Miguel’s story is one of resilience and purpose — having lost his father in a workplace accident, he’s turning that loss into motivation to give back. Read more about his journey and this amazing opportunity below ⬇️

✨ Flex was created to strengthen our sense of community, encourage student engagement, and provide opportunities for meaningful enrichment. Most importantly, it supports our mission as a college preparatory school by offering individualized academic help and fostering a well-rounded, whole-child approach to education.
🤝 To ensure the continued success of this program, we need your partnership. Regular attendance during Flex is essential. Students receive a participation grade in their College Crew based on their involvement, and teachers plan lessons and interventions with student attendance in mind.
🕒 We kindly ask that you prioritize full-day attendance. When possible, please avoid scheduling appointments during school hours (8:55 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.). Additionally, students will no longer be permitted to be signed out within the last 30 minutes of the last class of the school day.
🎽 Students who have approved extracurricular commitments are still expected to prioritize intensives when assigned. Academic support takes precedence over extracurricular activities. Parents of students who play sports for other schools or who engage in private lessons that cause them to miss Flex should complete the form at this link when the activity/lesson is in season to get approval for the absences.
🙏 Thank you for your continued support in helping us provide a rich, engaging, and supportive environment for every student.

We’re so excited to kick off another fantastic year! As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, we want to share some important updates to our attendance policy that align with the New Mexico Attendance for Success Act.
🏫 Why it matters: Regular attendance (95% or better) is key to student success and connection in our school community.
📊 Attendance is now tracked by percentage of class periods missed, and students are assigned a tier:
Tier 1: <5% missed
Tier 2: 5–9%
Tier 3: 10–19%
Tier 4: 20%+
✅ You’ll see your student’s attendance tier each week in your DeansList Report!
📝 For full policy details, visit the ATC website.
