In AP Language and Composition, the juniors got an early introduction to the final essay type, "synthesis." We made an elaborate analogy to the cooking show, "CHOPPED!" Somehow they convince Holzer to let them mock-up the show so that they could really, deeply understand.... It was all great, sticky fun, and the juniors are primed for the less foody synthesis essay.
